  • 2-Days and 10-Days Intensive Hridaya Hatha Yoga Workshops

    With Dr. Adina Riposan-Taylor

In this workshops, we will study the fundamental principles of Hridaya Yoga and we’ll introduce the practice of this profound esoteric Yoga system. Hridaya Hatha Yoga creates the condition for deep relaxation and for opening to realize the “transfiguration” of the body itself. During the practice of Hatha Yoga, the physical asanas combine with advaita, the vision based on non-duality. The asanas are performed while holding the inner spiritual attitudes recommended in traditional texts of Tantra and Shaivism including Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, Spanda Karika, Shiva Sutra, etc.

We further recommend attending the Hridaya Intensive Yoga Retreat: Module 1, and Hridaya Intensive Yoga Retreat: Module 2, at Hridaya Yoga Centre.

    • Hridaya Intensive Yoga Retreat: Module 1: It is a highly beneficial and transformative program that can bring amazing purifications at the physical, psychological, and mental levels. Learning how to awaken and become aware of subtle energies, the chakra system, and kundalini allows a profound psycho-mental regeneration.
    • Hridaya Intensive Yoga Retreat: Module 2: Building on the experience of Module 1, Module 2 allows students the opportunity to delve even more profoundly into the teachings and the beauty of the Consciousness of Oneness.

    • Mudras: (gestures and attitudes for re-directing prana)

  • Shambala Meditation Workshop

    With Dr. Adina Riposan-Taylor

Spiritual teachings and Meditation focused on establishing the spiritual connection with the sacred land of Shambala.

In Tibetan Buddhist and Indian Hindu/Buddhist traditions, Shambhala (or Shambala) is a mythical pure kingdom hidden from the ordinary sight of people. As with many concepts in the Kalachakra Tantra, the idea of Shambhala is said to have “outer”, “inner”, and “alternative” meanings. The outer meaning understands Shambhala to exist as a physical place, although only individuals with the appropriate karma can reach it and experience it as such.

As the 14th Dalai Lama noted during the 1985 Kalachakra initiation in Bodhgaya, Shambhala is not an ordinary country: “Although those with special affiliation may actually be able to go there through their karmic connection, nevertheless it is not a physical place that we can actually find. We can only say that it is a pure land, a pure land in the human realm. And unless one has the merit and the actual karmic association, one cannot actually arrive there.”

Shambhala is mentioned in various ancient texts, including the Kalachakra Tantra, and the ancient texts of the Zhang Zhung culture which predated Tibetan Buddhism in western Tibet. Hindu texts such as Mahabharata and Vishnu Purana mention Shambhala as the birth place of “the final incarnation of Vishnu”, who will usher in a new Golden Age (Satya Yuga).

Shambhala Myth states that Shambhala is ruled over by “Lord Maitreya”, and the Kalachakra prophesies promise that when the world declines into war and greed, and all is lost, the 25th Kalki king will emerge from Shambhala to vanquish “Dark Forces” and usher in a worldwide Golden Age.

Whatever its historical basis, Shambhala gradually came to be seen as a Buddhist Pure Land, a fabulous kingdom whose reality is visionary or spiritual as much as physical or geographic. Reaching the West, Shambhala myth influenced and attracted both non-Buddhist and Buddhist spiritual seekers.
